We live at the whim of some men, our lives depending on the mood they wake up in the morning.

Growing up in communism, I figured pretty quickly that my life and the lives of others matter to an extent. In regime, breathing in and out is a duty, not a life gift. Your existence helps the state grow, flourish. You are fed nicely wrapped propaganda, while the fear of not having that extra slice of bread on any given day is palpable…
